“Today is Thanksgiving Day. What better day to give thanks to the One who has given us life? We have breath in our lungs. We’re not dead, but alive. Alive in Christ. In fact, every day is Thanksgiving because there’s always a reason to give God thanks. We have another day to give Him praise, adoration, and honor. That is the best reason to be thankful. Let’s not take this moment for granted, but take advantage of this beautiful day. With a grateful heart, let us say, “Thank you.”
A Reason To Be Thankful
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. (Ps. 100, NKJV)
Today’s Challenge: What are the things you have been wrestling with? What worries have made it tough for you to be thankful? Take this time to genuinely give God thanks. Thank Him for all of your difficulties. I promise you’ll feel so much better when you’re done.
Pray this prayer: Father, I thank You for another opportunity to give You praise. Although it’s tough for me right now, I still want to tell You thanks. I love You for Your incredible mercy, unbelievable grace, and indescribable love. Amen.”
