Cease from Trying

Let God do it, my sister, because you can’t. You won’t do it right. You will probably make it worse. You won’t do it justice…not like God will and can. You can’t fix it. You won’t make it better but God can.

My sister, stop wasting so much of your time and energy trying to do what only God can. Stop trying to be God. Stop trying to get it perfect or be perfect; instead, bask in God and His perfection. Allow God to be God, and you just be you. You are His child. His daughter. His creation. His servant. His vessel. His mouthpiece. His instrument. You are His.

“Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture” Psalm 100:3 NKJV

Speak when God says speak. Go when and where God says go. Serve Him faithfully. Don’t worry about the details and the what ifs. The Lord will take care of them and He will take care of you. Stop trying to be something you are not. You are not God.

He will make room for your gifts. When He says it’s time, it will be your time. And what a marvelous time it will be! Be faithful and committed over what He has given you and called you to do. Just be you.

“A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16 NKJV

You must simply be you and enjoy doing that! You are trying to take on responsibilities and assignments that are not yours to have. Beloved, cease from trying. Cease from trying to be someone else. Cease from toiling. Cease from worrying. Cease from trying to make things happen. You are wearing yourself out. Let God do it. All of your efforts are going nowhere.

God doesn’t need any help from you. He doesn’t need your help. You will only get in the way. You keep getting in the way. Therefore, let God do it. Let God be God.

Aren’t you tired? Aren’t you tired of trying? Aren’t you tired of trying to make things happen, trying to make things go your way? Aren’t you tired of trying to handle everything on your own? Aren’t you tired of trying to be in control? Are you not exhausted, beloved?

Calm down. Breathe. Relax and let it go.

STOP TRYING.

MOVE OUT OF GOD’S WAY.

Let God have complete control. Give up your will. Surrender. Let go and let God. Rest in the all-sufficient, all-powerful, all-knowing God. Rest in His promises. Trust His plan. Trust His way.

It’s Monday… already. Here’s a word of encouragement from the Word of the Lord:

“Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God” Psalm 46:10 TPT

Now, let’s walk in freedom together and keep our eyes on God.

Your sis,

Rhovonda
